PROVIDER MANUAL RESOURCES El Paso Health and Texas Medical Provider Procedures Manual resources Behavioral health services El Paso Health (EPH), in partnership with over 200 behavioral health Providers in the El Paso community, provides behavioral health services for members who are experiencing a mental health issue that is causing distress, dysfunction, and / or maladaptive functioning as a result of a confirmed or suspected psychiatric condition. Behavioral health services are used for the treatment of mental illness and emotional disturbances by utilizing therapeutic interventions in an attempt to alleviate the symptoms of mental illness or emotional disturbance and reverse, change, or ameliorate maladaptive patterns of behavior. Behavioral health services include psychiatric diagnostic evaluation; psychotherapy (including individual, group, or family psychotherapy); psychological, neurobehavioral, or neuropsychological testing; pharmacological management services; and electroconvulsive therapy. EPH has a dedicated behavioral health unit composed of nurses and social workers that can assist your patients with all their behavioral health needs, including but not limited to: ■  ■ Assistance in navigating Medicaid benefits. ■  ■ Case management services. ■  ■ Service coordination. ■  ■ Community referrals. ■  ■ Pharmacy benefit. ■  ■ Education. The EPH Provider Manual describes the services covered by El Paso Health, the responsibilities in providing, and how to bill for services. The Provider Relations department conducts ongoing Provider education regarding the EPH Provider Manual and also provides reference to the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual (TMPPM) during welcome visits, Provider quarterly orientation education forums, and face-to- face site visits. The EPH Provider Manual is updated on an annual basis and can be found on our website at elpasohealth.com . In addition, EPH program updates or policy change notifications can be found on the EPH website under the “Provider” tab. In conjunction with the EPH Provider Manual, EPH also references the TMPPM—a source of information on Texas Medicaid. The TMPPM manual is regularly updated to reflect the most recent policy and procedure changes and updates available the month following the effective date of the change. The TMPPM is available in PDF as a complete book and as individual sections and handbooks. The most current version of the manual can be located on the TMPPM web page, and you can determine what has changed each month by viewing the Release Notes link on the TMPPM web page.
