In order to ensure the needs of our network Providers are being met, El Paso Health conducts an annual Provider Satisfaction Survey. It is important that we understand how El Paso Health affects your office and practice on a daily basis. Our Provider Satisfaction Survey will be mailed to Providers in September. Please be sure to fill out the survey with your honest feedback. We value our partnerships with Providers, and feedback from this survey will be used by El Paso Health to help direct administrative and operational changes as well as to point out areas that might need improvement and to increase overall Provider satisfaction. Treating depression and anxiety during the holidays A ccording to the National Institute of Mental Health, depression is one of the most common mental disorders in the U.S. Current research suggests that depression is caused by a combination of genetic, biological, environmental, and psychological factors. Depression is also the leading cause of disability in the United States among people ages 15 to 44. El Paso Health provides an array of services for individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health conditions. Covered services available to treat behavioral health conditions include: ■  ■ Medications ■  ■ Psychotherapy ■  ■ Mental health rehabilitation ■  ■ Targeted case management ■  ■ Skills training El Paso Health also offers additional services that help members manage symptoms related to their emotional health and well-being. These services include Case Management and Disease Management programs. As part of these programs, El Paso Health Case Managers and Disease Managers will assist the member with: ■  ■ Assessment of member needs ■  ■ Promoting access to covered services ■  ■ Coordinating care for the member ■  ■ Referrals to community resources ■  ■ Advocating for the member in the school setting ■  ■ Member education Providers may refer members to Case Management and Disease Management via fax, phone, or online. The referral form can be found at elpasohealth.com . Click on the “Provider” tab and select the case management referral form. One of our staff members will contact the member and provide additional assistance. Useful tips and resources to provide to members who are experiencing behavioral health issues include: ■  ■ Getting more light, getting out of bed, and staying active ■  ■ Encouraging members to identify their support system ■  ■ Seeking help 3 resources
