Quality Improvement updates HHSC requires that El Paso Health have two Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) for each line of business (STAR and CHIP) at any one time. The following will be active PIPs for calendar year 2018: STAR and CHIP: Improve Utilization of Well-Child Visits in the First 15 Months of Life (HEDIS W15). CHIP: Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity for Children and Adolescents (HEDIS WCC). STAR: Timeliness of Prenatal and Postpartum Care (HEDIS PPC). El Paso Health has developed varying interventions for these projects, to include both member and provider outreach. As always, we look forward to your cooperation on all our quality initiatives! Helping members with re-enrollment Y ourTexasBenefits.com gives members a convenient way to apply for and manage their Medicaid and CHIP benefits. Members can apply for benefits, upload important documents, check the status of their case, and more. If members are applying for benefits, they will need to answer several questions. They may include questions about: ■  ■ Everyone in their family who is applying. ■  ■ Their identity, citizenship, and immigration status. ■  ■ Money the family gets, property they own, and bills they pay. Members can fax the required paperwork or upload the documents right to YourTexasBenefits.com . In fact, most people who apply for benefits don’t even need to attend an interview at a HHSC office. They can usually do it all over the phone. Once the member has received their benefits, they can us e YourTexasBenefits.com to check on their account. The website lets them manage their case, renew benefits, report changes, and print Medicaid cards. Best of all , YourTexasBenefits .com is available from any computer with an internet connection, so members can manage their benefits day or night, whether they’re at home, at a friend’s house, at a public library, or with one of the community partners.
